The Vinings Academy Curriculum

Holiday Celebrations

As an internationally-focused preschool, Vinings Academy teaches children about different world holidays through art and crafts projects. Some of the holidays we cover are Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and Diwali. We invite parents from different cultures to come and speak with the children about these holidays and their traditions.

Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is expected unless a child is ill. Vinings Academy has a specific curriculum and academic plans for each child to accomplish during the week. If a child has missed school Vinings Academy offers one free make-up day per trimester. In the first trimester the free day is any day from the first day of school to the start of the Thanksgiving break. In the second trimester the free day can be any day from after Thanksgiving break to the last school day in February. In the third trimester the free day is any day from the first school day in March through the last day of school.
